Names have power. Don't give the dog one you don't want to see in your life, like, on your bed or something. SR20? Not on the bed. On the track, ok.. in your bedroom? Hrm.

It has to be yell-able. It also should have a "this is your name" and "this is your name when I'm pissed." which is also yell-able. Or growl-able. Or "I'm serious" able.

"c-3-2-0"...and when pissed, "VOLVO!" Very yell-able. (but maybe not very sexy.)

I like some of the other suggestions the conform to the above principles. Remember, it's a dog, not a car. In the end, I'd suggest:

1) Getting the dog.

2) Living with the dog.

3) Letting the name come in, however long that takes. There's no rush. "What's the dog's name?" "Dunno....yet." The dog will adjust.

Having a second dog is great, just as mush work as one but twice as rewarding. We have 2 now and mine's name is Ford (wife's dog's name is Max). My dog before him was named Jeep. You can see I have a trend going here...
